Waxing is becoming more and more popular amongst men. Today many men are becoming much more conscious about the way they look and it has become common practice and acceptable for men to visit salons. We choose to offer waxing and beauty treatments for men in an attempt to keep up with this ever increasing demand. We have also tried to keep the style of our beauty salon neutral, so men do not find it strange entering a beauty salon.

It is not a secret that men have generally courser, curlier and thicker hair than women. So the process might be more painful and it needs more attention from the therapist. Make sure that you are well informed before embarking on some serious male waxing. Below are a few things that you might want to consider.

1. Because male hair is courser, men can experience whiteheads. These are a form of acne not different from the blackheads except for the fact that with whiteheads pimples the infection is under the surface of the skin while with blackheads the infection is exposed and oxidise or dirt residue can cover them. All this is caused by bacteria that can enter the open skin pores after waxing. This mostly occurs in the chest, back and groin area.
2. Make sure you wash as soon as possible after a work out with a loafer and an anti bacterial wash which contains Tea Tree. Also you can disifect the area treated using the same Tea Tree oil. This will also minimize the potential for rashes, itchiness, ingrown hairs and pimples. Also to help prevent ingrown you miight ask for our lotion from Mancine that will help you to prevent the problem and keep you skin clearer.
3. Make sure that the therapist explain to you the after care procedure and lotions you may require after your treatment to make sure you get the best results out of your waxing service.

The Waxing Treatment

Prior to the treatment - we cleanse the area and may trim the hairs with scissors, if we feel they are too long. We then apply a cream warm wax and remove the unwanted hair. Afterwards, we apply a soothing tea tree lotion to help the skin recover from waxing. We also try to make it as painless as possible!
